Quebec City's Winter Carnival

and the Chateau Frontenac

Celebrate the Quebec Winter Carnival with Vermont's Green Mountain Tours. Enjoy a great weekend get-away in mid-winter. The carnival includes ice and snow sculptures created by local artists, canoe races on the St. Lawrence River and traditional parades on the Grand Allee. Day 1 - Saturday, February 4, 2012

We'll depart from St. Stephen's in Winooski at 6:00 a.m., and after making stops in St. Albans at 6:30 , and Swanton at 6:45 we'll head north to the Province of Quebec.  We will enjoy lunch in Quebec and then have some free time in the Plains of Abraham to enjoy the carnival activities.  We'll then check into the Chateau Frontenac, our luxurious home for two nights, located in the heart of the historical Old City. This evening we'll attend the parade.

Day 2 -Sunday, February 5, 2012

This morning after a full American buffet breakfast at the Chateau we'll have some free time to explore on our own. We'll then meet in the hotel lobby at 11:30 a.m. for our tour of the city.  Our Tour Director will bring us on a 4-hour bus tour including the historic Place Royal, the Citadel, the Plains of Abraham and other places of interest.

Day 3 - Monday, February 6, 2012

This morning we'll again have a full American buffet breakfast at the Chateau. Please have bags by your room door at 10:00 a.m. We will meet at 11:15 a.m. in the lobby for lunch in New Quebec. Then we'll depart from Quebec City at 2:00 p.m.  Approximate arrival in Swanton will be 5:45 p.m., St. Albans at 6:00 p.m. and Winooski at 6:30 p.m.
