TOURS INCLUDE: Transportation (motor coach, train, airplane, or boat), accommodations, all meals, sightseeing and attractions, as listed in the itinerary. All gratuities for meals, attractions, and taxes are included (except some day trips.)
TOURS DO NOT INCLUDE: Items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc) and gratuities for your tour director, driver and local step-on guide.
GRATUITIES: Gratuities can be awkward for many people. On day and multi-day tours, for your convenience, Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours, LLC will provide gratuity envelopes in your tour packet. A guideline for tipping your tour director and driver is $4.00-$5.00 PER PERSON, PER DAY.
RESERVATIONS: Should be made early to avoid going on a wait list.
PAYMENTS: For one-day tours, full payment is expected with your reservation. For multi-day tours there is a deposit of 20% per person, unless a higher amount is specified. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, Diners Card JCB, Union Pay or checks payable to Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours LLC.
PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES: Passengers requiring special care and/or assistance must notify us of their particular needs at time of booking. While we would be pleased to try to accommodate the special needs of mentally and/or physically disabled passengers with the means presently available to us, we may not be able to do so for safety, health, or other reasons. If you require assistance you must have an able traveling companion. Passengers must provide their own special equipment, such as wheel chairs, oxygen, etc.
CANCELLATION POLICY: There will be an administrative fee of $50.00 per person for cancellations. Once tickets/admissions are purchased on behalf of travelers, they become non-refundable and/or are subject to name-change fees by the airline if a suitable replacement is found. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours, as your agent, commits to tickets, transportation, meals and lodging, and most are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued approximately 4-6 weeks after the trip has concluded. We strongly recommend travelers insurance in case of need to cancel. Please call to arrange for this insurance. If you have the insurance and need to cancel, you can get a full refund.
Important notes about traveler’s insurance:
- You must purchase the insurance no later than two days of departure.
- MEDICARE DOES NOT cover expenses incurred outside the United States. Please check directly with your supplemental insurance company to find out if that company will cover those expenses. Typically, a temporary rider is used to cover unforeseen medical emergencies while out of the country.
- Our travel insurance DOES cover medical costs, including pre-existing conditions.
- Trip cancellation/delay coverage must fall under the following conditions: Loss of wallet, passport, quarantine, hijacking, civil disorder, natural disaster, weather (documented by airlines), or airline strike
ACCOMMODATIONS: The per person amount is going to be less as the number of people in the room increases. Therefore, the rate for a single room is higher than the rate for a quad (4 people per room). Single rooms are limited. Triple rooms usually have two double beds. Three individual beds cannot be guaranteed and there may be an additional charge for a roll-away bed. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours, LLC does not arbitrarily room persons together. Passengers must select their own roommates.
CHILD DISCOUNT: Children 12 years and younger will receive a discount 10% off the applicable rate, if they share the same room with their parents. The child must be 12 years or younger at the time of trip. Proof of child’s age is required. If the child’s proof of age is not received in our office by final payment the full adult rate will be charged.
LUGGAGE SERVICE & LIABILITY: Luggage service is provided for some of our tours, but not all. Each person is allowed one large suitcase and one carry-on. The carry-on is to be handled by the traveler, who will assume full responsibility for it. Please mark all baggage with your name, address and phone number. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours will provide luggage tags. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours cannot assume liability for damaged or lost baggage. Insurance is recommended. On multi-day tours, carry-on bags must be stowed in the cargo bay under the bus. Travelers will be responsible for transporting bags to and from the hotel.
DEPARTURE TIMES & PICK UP POINTS: Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours is not responsible for your automobile in the parking lot. We do have a prior agreement with owners to allow our travelers to park at the pick-up points we use. However, all parking is at your own risk and/or expense. Our departure time is indicated on the itinerary. We only wait for 5 minutes. If you decide to change your pick up point, it is important to let us know. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Departure time are subject to change and you will be notified of any changes prior to the tour.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTS: In order for all passengers to enjoy the facilities of the coach equally, seating will be rotated at the discretion of the Tour Director.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL: No smoking is permitted on the coach. There will be rest stops to accommodate those who wish to smoke. Alcohol is prohibited on board all motor coaches.
RESPONSIBILITY: All rates are subject to change without notice. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours, LLC reserves the right in its sole discretion, to make changes in the itinerary and is not responsible to any person for expense, loss of time or money or other circumstances resulting from a change in itinerary or change of tour arrangement made to it for tour members. Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours, LLC is not responsible for other services, any loss, or injury or damage to any person or property however caused, or for any delays, extra expenses or inconveniences caused by weather, acts of God or passenger deviations.
WEATHER POLICY: Vermont’s Green Mountain Tours’ policy is to travel unless roads are closed. That means rain, snow, sleet, or hail, the tour normally goes!
INTERNATIONAL (INCLUDING CANADIAN) BORDER REQUIREMENTS: U.S. Citizens are required to present an enhanced driver’s license, passport, or naturalization papers. Non U.S. Citizens must have a valid Passport or Alien Card. Regular Driver’s License is NOT proof of citizenship, but may be requested as additional ID.
Boarding without sufficient I.D. will not warrant a refund.
NEW PASSPORT REGULATIONS: As of June 1, 2009, all persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda by land or sea ports-of-entry (including ferries), will be required to present a valid passport or Enhanced Driver’s License as determined by the Department of Homeland Security.You should take action at least three to four months prior to departure if you need your first or a renewed passport. Check your current passport, noting the date that it expires, so that you can plan in plenty of time to replace it. Passports are valid for 10 years.
Passport Card: The State Department is issuing this passport card in response to the needs of border resident communities for a less expensive and more portable alternative to the traditional passport book. The card has the same period of validity as a passport book: 10 years for an adult, five for children 15 and younger. Adults who already have a fully valid passport book may apply for the card as a passport renewal.
